Today I went on a business road trip with an associate of mine from the Kobe Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers to visit Micron http://www.micron.com/ located in Nishiwaki and Shin-Caterpillar Mitsubishi http://www.scm.co.jp/english/index.html located in Akashi (both located in Hyogo Prefecture).  My associate had hotel business http://www.sheraton-kobe.co.jp/index_pc.html to take care of so I tagged along to introduce my employer, the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) to the following companies.  Actually, Shin-Caterpillar Mitsubishi is already a member, but we would like the company to increase its membership involvement by adding more employees as members to the organization. 

 

In any event, the half-day road trip was somewhat successful in my opinion.  I hope that from time-to-time I can partake on a few more road trips because 1) it gets me out of the office and 2) it allows me to meet other management level individuals whom I normally would not have the chance to meet.

 

今日は神戸ベイシェラトン ホテル＆タワーズ http://www.sheraton-kobe.co.jp/index_pc.html に勤められている知り合いと兵庫県内でプチ出張した。今日は西脇と明石へ行ってきた。とりあえず、西脇に本社があるMicron http://www.micron.co.jp/ って半導体外資系企業に寄ってセールスをした。その後、明石にある新キャタピラー三菱 http://www.scm.co.jp/index.html にも行って、エッグノッグ（もともと、アメリカ南部地方で飲まれていたクリスマスの伝統的なウインター・ドリンク～卵、牛乳、砂糖、酒を使ってつくる滋養たっぷりのドリンク～）をプレゼントとして持ってきて、飲みながらパーティーな雰囲気で色々話し合った。

今は疲れているけど、やっぱりたまに外に出て、関西地域を回っても良いやないかなと思う。今日のロードトリップはうちの商工会議所にいい効果があるかどうかまだ分からんけど、いろんな会社へ訪問しないと確実に効果があるわけないやろ。

また明日からも頑張るわ！
